Tam ve’nishlam
And just like that it was finished. What started in May 2006 is now complete. 115 shows in 22 countries and now I sit in a hotel room in Australia staring at the sea trying to squint to see Antarctica. I look back on the most rewarding tour I've ever been on and would like to publicly thank the most amazing musicians and crew a singer could ever hope to find. We became a soul machine and turned air into wine every night we hit the boards. Songs began taking on a life of their own and it was actually exciting to wake up everyday to see what would happen next. Even with the non- stop travel, we bonded as brothers and rolled into each town on a mission to blow your mind (and ours). I'll never forget this tour and look forward to the next phase, epoch and version of the Twilight Singers. I sense we are on the cusp of something unique and beautiful and wage that time will bear me out.
To the phenomenal audiences we played to, who, more often than not became the seventh band member (those of you who know what I mean, know who you are). What can I say? You lifted us up and let us fly and never let us get away with anything but the best we could possibly give you. Thank you to those who have been there from the beginning and thank you to the curious who came to see about all the fuss. It was the combination that made for some of most emotional moments I've ever experienced on a stage and I am humbly grateful for this.
So now, after the Australian summer is in my rearview, I will begin to clear the paths and ford the rivers to the Promised Land of the Gutter Twins. Between what is already completed and what lies ahead, my consciousness is stirred and my imagination on fire.
Con tanto amore-
