| I am on other message boards and all ideas are good but what about private messages to other members? Also thsi can be much more user friendly. There are better templates to use than this butI am stil very grateful to see what you started and hopefully will grow. |

| May I suggest using actual message board software? Even a freebie like phpBB would be a big improvement. I think it's really cool that this is here at all, but in terms of features and usability you could do much better! by nnf on February 23, 2010 9:02 AM |
| We started rolling out some new features based on user feedback today. As for why we're not using a standard forum software package, we're hoping to do some cool integration across the entire new site when it goes live, so we need our login/user base to be consolidated. | Nice! I did kind of like the "hierarchical view" where you could see when a post was in reply to another post. Perhaps that could be brought back? Here's a mockup to clarify what I mean. Also, I can't really get used to threads being sorted by creation date rather than by last reply date, because that's the way it works on the rest of the internetz. On a smiliar note, the "Last post" column on the main page should probably contain information about the last post/poster, and not about the last thread to be posted in.
