Drummer

What happened to that goofy drummer the twilight singers had on their previous tours? I'm not sure of his name but goofy drummer should be description enough for you to know who I'm talking about.. Whatever happened to that fellow and why has he been replaced by the man child drummer?

the old drummer was bobby macintyre. guy had tons of energy, but terrible time. saw dulli get upset with him on stage a few times for massive tempo shifts in the middle of songs. the guy sped up more than anyone i've ever seen playing at that level (except jimmy chamberlain from the pumpkins--but he's supposed to do that). think he's from florida, so guess he's back there playing again. the new guy is cully symington who may be a "man child," but is a really f*cking great drummer. symington is from austin and plays in a band called 1986.

I always liked his drumming, never noticed much in the way of tempo shifts myself. But yeah, he's gone. Official story is he left to pursue other interests. He runs his own studio in Miami and is producing.

Too bad hes replaced, always liked his playing.
He's a nice guy too, always had time for a chat after the shows.

Dulli had this to say in an interview with the AV Club in 2008:
"The band that we're playing with now is the same band we've been playing with since 2006, although we've got a new drummer on account that he became a spokesman for Massengill."

But like monkjee, I had the opportunity to chat with him after a show and he was very nice.
